Do you know of a multi-site church that meets in a YMCA as one of its campuses?

[Rich Kirkpatrick's Weblog] Christian Art: what the Church is doing good at right now”¦music ...: than certainly we see the glory of God in a musician/artist using their gifts to the fullest, whether they feel led to share their gifts in a secular market or Christian one. I myself, though mainly a worship leader and worship songwriter most of my years, feel stirred more and more in this season to find new ways to share music - in whatever context, to whatever crowd, in whatever style.

[Andy Rowell | Church Leadership Conversations] Andy Rowell | Church Leadership Conversations: Theological Reviews ...: I agree with Cindy Crosby, reviewer at "Christianity Today", who said, "Rather than slicing and dicing the novel, looking for proof of theological missteps, a better approach might be to look at significant passages as springboards for deeper discussion. The Shack is a novel, after all, not a systematic theology.

[C512] Multi-Site « C512: Multi-site churches will naturally need to expand their leadership base as they grow.  And one of the benefits to having several sites is that to an extent it will force a church to aggressively develop new leaders.  However, this constant need for reproducing leaders has a couple of inherent dangers in my mind.  First, there is what I will call the leadership mold problem.  Multi-site churches must avoid the temptation of casting all their leaders from the same mold as their original leadership team.  Campus pastors should not all look the same nor should they all be mirrors of the founding pastor.  Second, multi-site churches must determine a way to ensure that developing leaders are equipped in more than just one area of ministry.  Professionalism and specialization can be good ways to conserve energy but they can also shortchange and limit developing leaders.  A prime example of one area where this can happen is in the area of teaching and pastoral leadership.  Campus pastors must be given the opportunity to provide pastoral leadership and care within their own local campuses and should not be forced to rely on a specialist from the “mother” church.  Also, local campus pastors ought to be given the responsibility of teaching and leading their congregations from the pulpit.  Again where possible and where teachers are available I would rather see local campuses becoming self-sufficient rather than continuing to rely on a “mother”

[Untitled] Large Church Pastors and Wives Network Gathering «: but if you rely on your own reasoning and ability rather than on the virtue of submission to Jesus Christ, you will but seldom and slowly attain wisdom.  For God wills that we become perfectly obedient to himself, and that we transcend mere reason on the wings of burning love for him.”

[Jamie Jackson XP] Learnings From Innovation 3 : Jamie Jackson XP: I'm currently serving at Grace Community Church as executive pastor where my role is something like a Chief Operations Officer and a senior associate pastor. [brent(inWorship)] Multi-Site Churches”¦Kind Of Like Extra Limbs? | brent(inWorship): In reality, it’s a whole bunch of home churches which come together corporately to be “refueled”…your pastor may not be the person preaching. And lets face it, often teaching and pastoring are two very different things (gifts)…a whole other discussion to have if it’s not already been done.
